Is this bug present when you upload openiboot using irecovery and then commang go?

I believe I encountered this bug, I stopped using a USB hub and it worked fine. --Neonkoala 22:23, 27 April 2010 (UTC)

Common?

Is this a common error? I've been uploading firmware from a lot of different installations, including the ones listed, and it's been working fine... But you'd have to be a complete git (no pun intended) to try something as crucial as firmware uploading in something as flimsy as a virtual machine... --Konaya 13:06, 29 April 2010 (UTC)

Anyone else?

I have a iPhone 3G running 3.1.3 Jailborken. I tried installing openiboot both on ubuntu and mac binaries, but to no avail.. Tried different computers and different USB ports again with no effect. Although it seems that sometimes the OSx binaries would give 0xffffffc4 instead of 0xffffff92.

Type of jailbreak maybe?

So I had this problem on OS 3.1.3 which I had jailbroken with spirit. After jailbreaking with redsn0w and os 3.1.2 it worked first go

Re:Type of jailbreak maybe?

i took a similar route, couldnt jailbreak 3.1.3 so used redsn0w to load 3.1.2 but both in a 32bit VM and 64bit physical the upload fails, the only difference is that no error message is presented in x64, i dont know how to troubleshoot any further.

UPDATE: i have fixed this in my case on the physical x64 box, rather than use the USB ports on the front i plugged into the back after reading the Hub comment above. i do not beleive this made a difference however.

i also downloaded a different img3 file, this seems to be what resolved the problem. specifically, i downloaded the file called 'triboot_29cd544.zip' from here: http://www.idroidproject.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=59&start=40

Hope this helps some of you.
