Downloading iDroid through Bootlace fails consistantly
« on: December 02, 2010, 05:17:51 AM »
Every time I attempt to download iDroid through bootlace, it gives me an error along the lines of file "cannot be downloaded".

I tried taking the tar file in the wiki and manually uploading it to the corresponding directory, but bootlace attempts to download a new version every time.

Is it possible to have bootlace recognized the uploaded tar?

If not is there a solution to my problem?

Thank you

You need to put the .tar.gz package in /var/mobile/Documents/Bootlace for Bootlace to recognise it.

I upload the "iDroid-1.0.4.1-MoJo-IPT1G.tar.gz" file to that directory you list, and bootlace attempts to download it rather than recognizing the file.

Ah well. You'll have to try and fix your internet dropping out mid-download then.
