can install iPad?
« on: August 16, 2010, 05:59:47 PM »
I know everyone was just waiting to see how long it was going to take for this question.

After the iPad is jailbroke what are the chances that the we are going to be able to easily port over the iDroid, and OpeniBoot to the new platform?

The question has been asked many a time before.

The iPad currently lacks a bootrom exploit. Without it we can't flash the NOR with openiboot so therefore an iDroid port is not possible yet.
#iphonelinux - General iDroid/openiBoot help and support | #idroid-dev - Contact a developer here | #iX - help and support for iX, an Ubuntu distribution for the iDevices | #iOS - all iOS and iPhone support goes here

All located on irc.osx86.hu

could you physically flash it with a chip flasher. (i lack vocab)
Though it might seem overkill, it's always a start.
I will have some free time next month.
Would it be possible to flash that? I mean, if you had software to flash on it.

I suppose a dump of the bootrom would aid in finding a bootrom exploit, theoretically.
