I assumed that those images were stolen from somewhere.

Here's where it comes from: http://http://www.pcworld.com/article/196595-2/how_to_install_android_on_your_iphone.html . Just beside step 12

I never said it was him.

I'm trying to point out that the screenshots, just like the instructions, are stolen.

I just found out about this site today.  Someone posted it as a comment to the "How to downgrade iOS4 to 3.1.3" article on Lifehacker (http://lifehacker.com/5572003).  Link to the comment: http://lifehacker.com/comment/25047641/.
This site makes me cry.  Selling other people's work, especially when it's free.  Also, does anyone else find it ironic that the site has a "Protected by Copyscape - Do not copy." banner at the bottom?

These sites always make me mad.  If I get board this weekend I might take a drive past and see if I can find any evidence of anyone by that name at that address (only about 20 min away)  If that is a fake than hopefully we can get the domain pulled.

I nearly got this for my phone, was just searching and found this site by accident.

Must admit I did post without searching forum, because I did not see 3gs

The thing that nearly sold it to me was the fact I would not need to jailbreak my phone

Not read enough about iopenboot to know if you can install it without jailbreak

Thanks for the heads up

Selling free software is okay, according to the writers of the license under which iDroid is released.

Redistributing free software is a good and legitimate activity; if you do it, you might as well make a profit from it.

I'm sure that the address is real, but far from legitimate. I wouldn't waste your time (and gas) hunting it down. A simple Google Maps and/or phonebook search would suffice :)

Selling a copyrighted news article as a foolproof, secure, full-featured Android solution, however, isn't. That's both false advertising and copyright breach.

I know, I was arguing against those who were crying over selling free software.

It won't stop. (S)He'll just set up a new site and continue to keep doing it. I've seen a couple with similar layout designs include the talking folk down the bottom pop up lately for all kinds of phones. Generally promoting something free, just a bit 'bent' on descriptions, and charging a small profit for their time.

Is it technically breaching any laws putting droid on the iPhone? I know warranty is void if it's caught, but is doing it illegal?
