« on: April 27, 2010, 04:15:56 PM »
As a title... what do you think about porting those three platform on iPhone. .Maemo is debian-based, Meego is moblin based...and well, Symbian kernel is recently goes open source... only iPhone can be fully dual booting most famous embedded os since iPhoneOs is natively on it!  In the looong time, obviously :D

Hah, the idea is quite piquant; as you say though, it'll take a while until we get there.

The only thing I remember of Symbian is that it sucked on both phones I've had with it. But I could SSH with it, and that I liked. Wish I could have dialed BBSes with it, though, like with the old Nokia Communicator.

Anyone interested in porting Meego to the iPhone (3G,3GS,4) now?

Android has been ported.  So can an effort be made to help out Meego and port it to the iPhone?

Here is a thread discussing the port of Meego to an iPhone:

Need some help.
