You guys need an updated kernel as well for the wi-fi. Commit 3af6c888 drops support for the old "type" tag in favor of different kernel compiles. You need a 3G kernel compile from kernel_common commit 68ab17c144 or later.

I take it that things need to be switched around in android to make way for these changes right? Have updated and no luck.

Ooh forgot to mention. What I did was change the openiboot file to .bin

EDIT: What PlanetBeing is saying is that you need the WIFI thing from the marvell.com

wifi driver
The Wi-Fi firmware files can be found on Marvell's site.

1. Go to http://www.marvell.com/support.html
2. Under "Choose a platform", select "Linux 2.6 - Fedora".
3. Click the Search button under the drop down box.
4. Download and extract the SD-8686-* zip archive.
5. Rename helper_sd.bin to sd8686_helper.bin
6. Keep sd8686.bin and sd8686_helper.bin in a safe place for later.

got this from viewtopic.php?f=14&t=204

This currently allows me to connect to my router, but still its kinda buggy. Eh. Better than no wifi.

Okay guys, the problem with flashing is fixed now (at least for me, please GIVE FEEDBACK). You can find the image on the first post.

I remember that this commit adds support for 3G calls, but you still need an apropiate android kernel :D.

Cheers, Noltari.

Noltari, have you built a working kernel?

if you have, do you mind posting the .config as myself and others are strugglnig a bit.

Cheers,

The latest kernel keeps giving me an error related to the latest planetbeing's commit (i2c) and I can't compile it :(

Did you enable i2c? It's not built by default.

I meant in your config. Did you make menuconfig/xconfig and turn i2c on. There is no .config in the repo so you have to set one up.

Should i2c be enabled as built-in or module? I keep getting build errors using planetbeing's latest git clone, so it must be an error in my .config...

Try this:
Code: [Select]
make menuconfig
Device Drivers -> I2c Support (Enable)
With this it gives me no errors :3

yeah but do you put an * (= built-in) or an M (=module) in the i2c enabler?
