andLinux to install OpeniBoot
« on: November 20, 2010, 04:48:38 AM »
Hello all. I want to get iDroid working on my iPhone, but my only problem is not having Linux on my computer. I only currently have a netbook with Windows 7 as my iMac is waiting for me to repair it. As you may or may not know, it is a pain to try to emulate ANYTHING on a netbook due to its low speed and crappy hardware.

My question to you is to install OpeniBoot with a program on windows called andLinux. If you're not sure what this is, it is basically a compatibility layer like Wine. Except that it integrates Linux code into Windows to run Linux applications. http://www.andlinux.org/

We have a tutorial on the wiki on how to use virtualbox running linux to get openiboot installed.

If you want something that natively runs on Windows, you might have to wait for some time. No ETA on that so don't ask.
