Bootlace / Re: Bootlace not working with Blackra1n

Ok. You did say iPhone 3G right? Cause it won't work on iPhone 3GS or iPod Touch 3G. Just to make sure (We had a 3page thread where we tried debugging why bootlace didn't work and it turned out the guy had a 3GS but said it was a 3G).

Blackra1n works with Bootlace. Although I know the newer iOS versions/Blackra1n are better supported.

Try redsn0w then.

Is this the first time you installed Bootlace? That is you never upgraded from 3.1.2 to 3.1.3 with a previous Bootlace?

If all else fails, do a DFU.

/system in iDroid refers to system.img

If you want to access the iOS file system, it's in /host (which refers to /private/var)

All those commands you did don't do anything because /ipwn etc does not exist in system.img

« on: December 25, 2010, 04:02:17 PM »
Hello,
i have installed OpeniBoot with bootlace on my iPhone 3G with Firmware 4.2.1. It worked very well, but yesterday i wanted to restore my iPhone and i forget to deinstall OpeniBoot and Idroid before recover! Now the installation of iOS stucks at the half of the installation. And i must unplugg it. Every time if i recover it it's stucks there! Mayber OpeniBoot bricks my Phone ? Can i enter the Filesystem of the iPhone in DFU mode to delete the OpeniBoot files ?
What can i do? Please help me!        (Sorry for my bad English)

Egaldoch

You don't need to uninstall OpeniBoot to restore. A normal restore erases OpeniBoot for you.

iPhone 3G / Re: Custom boot logos?

You have to install OpeniBoot manually then. http://www.idroidproject.org/wiki/Installation_Guide

Bootlace will always removed custom logos. Sorry.

No it is not. That's how it's supposed to be.

You should enter commands via OIBC on your computer to proceed.

Any further discussion is pointless. Topic locked and moved to OpeniBoot.

This is all in the User Manual
http://www.idroidproject.org/wiki/User_Manual

Please refer to the FAQ or User Manual before posting.

There are no - or + buttons either in iOS.

Hi

having read most of the FAQ, is there any reason to have idroid on my phone?

I installed idroid because i thought i would be able to play rush poker on my iphone http://www.fulltiltpoker.com/rush-poker-mobile/faq

Will i be able to play rush poker in the near future using idroid? How do I know when to update idroid? And how do i update?

thx

We can't say how it will go in the near future.

Your app needs Flash, which needs GPU (which is the hardest to port).

Regarding updating, if you use Bootlace, you can update when there is a new version available but is not done automatically.

Subscribe to the Twitter account @iDroidProject for updates and news.

For why your 3G should have iDroid, the reason is up to you.

iPhone 3G / Re: Hard reset in oibc, now I can't boot into iOS ?

Just do the steps for DFU and ignore whatever OS it boots until you go into DFU/Black screen.

Whatever OS you go to (console, iOS, android), as long as you are performing DFU correctly, DFU will trigger.
