iPhone 2G / Idroid wont boot
« on: November 30, 2010, 04:23:31 AM »
I downloaded the latest release via bootlace and now android will not boot.  I have deleted openiboot, idroid, and bootlace and reinstalled and still have the same problem.  It will get to a point in the boot process (before the android splash screen) to where it keeps outputting the same error every few seconds.  I would appreciate some help, and if I need to give more information please let me know and I will give it to you.  Iphone 2g redsnow jailbreak, bootlace 2.1.3-1, idroid

iPhone 2G / logcat of trying to connect to wifi
« on: November 27, 2010, 05:08:20 AM »

The above link is to my logcat from idroid while trying to connect to my wifi.  I have the latest version of bootlace and idroid and I am not able to connect to my WEP Secured WIFI at my house while in idroid, ios works fine.  I have manually entered the ssid and wep key with no change.  IIRC I am using the v8 wifi firmware and have it placed in /private/var/firmware, and it is also supposed to be embedded in the system.img or something (i thought i read that somewhere).  If anyone can make sense of the logcat, i am thinking it may have something to do with "E/wpa_supplicant(  476): wpa_driver_priv_driver_cmd failed", and help me out it would be greatly appreciated.

iPhone 2G / Overclocking Kernel?
« on: October 20, 2010, 05:29:26 AM »
Is it possible to be able to write a custom kernel that will allow for overclocking via setcpu or overclock widget?  If not please explain why.  Also if this is in the wrong section, please move it.

I got my kernel source from the command
Code: [Select]
git clone git:// used the "compiling a kernel" how-to from the wiki and did everything i was supposed to, but everytime I type
Code: [Select]
sudo makeit outputs alot of lines then it gives me these errors and stops.
Code: [Select]
kernel/cpuset.c: In function 'cpuset_can_attach':
kernel/cpuset.c:1333: error: 'task' undeclared (first use in this function)
kernel/cpuset.c:1333: error: (Each undeclared identifier is reported only once
kernel/cpuset.c:1333: error: for each function it appears in.)
make[1]: *** [kernel/cpuset.o] Error 1
make: *** [kernel] Error 2

I searched and there was only one other post about this on these forums and it didnt say if it ever got resolved or not.  Can someone help me out?

iPod Touch 1G / boot logo loop when trying to unlock from lock screen
« on: July 21, 2010, 01:30:37 AM »
I am having a problem with my ipod touch 1g running ifroyo 2.2.  I am using ddFroYo2G v1 for the iphone 2g and it was working fine until I added a few .apk files to the system image and modified the init.rc for wifi on start-up.  Now everytime I try and boot into android it boots fine but when it gets to the lock screen the normal background image is not there jut a black screen, and when I slide to unlock (for lack of a better descriptive phrase) it freezes and loops back to the android boot logo.  It will get back to the lock screen one more time but when I try to unlock it again it freezes again and then goes to a black screen and I have to force reboot.  The only .apk files I added were the beautiful widgets app from a questionable release by djmitza over on iptf's.  Does anyone think they can help me, I seem to think it is a memory type issue but I dont have another ipod touch to test it on and since my files, etc. have gapps and paid apps on it I am kinda iffy on posting links for it to be downloaded.

iPod Touch 1G / [TUT] Video how to: Triple boot your Ipod Touch
« on: June 13, 2010, 08:37:26 AM »

People have been having problems installing the new openiboot that allows you to triple boot your Ipod, so I made a video showing the process. This video was made assuming you have already read Ninn's post and have downloaded/uploaded the froyo 2.2 files to your Ipod as this video only shows the openiboot installation process.  As stated in the video, if you have any questions or comments then please do not be afraid to ask and I will help you the best I can.  All credit goes to Ninn for making this possible (and anyone else that may have helped him) and planetbeing for porting the Android OS to the Iphone thus making this possible for everyone.

iPod Touch 1G / super sensitive keyboard?
« on: May 25, 2010, 04:32:39 AM »
Is anyone else having a problem with a super sensitive keyboard?  I am, you can look at my other post to find the different img files I am using and what not.  I cant even type in a web address in less the 15 mins.  I was trying to post this on my facebook "Got wifi working on my idroid/ipod.  This post was made from the android broswer"  I took my litterally 15 mins to type the first couple of words correctly and that was even with the predictive (whatever you want to call it) text.  I didnt even post the entire message, I got 1 third of the way done and saw a period got pressed in the wrong spot so i went to back up and erase it and the backspace button "froze" and erased the entire message so I gave up.

So is there anyway to change the keyboard sensitivity?

Quote from: "Paraphrased from the "Installing iDroid(Linux) on the iDroidWiki site"
On the right side of the page you should see a drop-down menu labeled 'Choose your platform'. Select Linux 2.6 - Fedora from the drop-down menu and click the Search button underneath. ** Download the file labeled SD-8686-LINUX26-SYSKT-9.70.3.p24-26409.P45-GPL. You'll get a file called  On the Windows machine, create a folder named firmware.  Extract SD-8686-FEDORA26FC6-SYSKT-GPL-9.70.3.p24-26409.P45.tar from and put it in "firmware" (the folder you just made).  Extract FwImage/helper_sd.bin and FwImage/sd8686.bin from SD-8686-FEDORA26FC6-SYSKT-GPL-9.70.3.p24-26409.P45.tar and put them inside your 'firmware' folder.  Rename helper_sd.bin to sd8686_helper.bin.  You have your WLAN firmware at this point.  Open IphoneBrowser (or whatever you use) and create a folder called firmware in the /private/var folder on the iPod; this folder is case-sensitive: having it named 'Firmware' will not allow the drivers to load. Afterward, upload all the files from the 'firmware' folder you created earlier to it.

I was having trouble getting wifi to work and this is the combination (as far as I can remember) of files I used to get wifi to work.  I still dont have a working android market, processes keep stop responding for some strange reason.  If you are trying to get the wifi to work on your ipod touch 1st gen then this may work for you as well.  If you can help me get the android market working, that would be awesome as I am ready to start downloading some android app's
